Thomas Lawrence a.k.a. "Tommy" first got his start entertaining people on the streets of his neighborhood. Even in the beginning he didn't work for free if you wanted to see him do his thing you had to pay. His phrase "Can I Get A Dollar" became legendary and so did the way he talked. Tommy came to be one of the most imitated voices in the neighborhood. All around the city his popularity grew and was asked to do commercials for an athletic chain store. The commercials were an instant marketing success for the chain store but especially for Tommy. With his love of entertaining he decide to expand his horizons and try a t.v. series "Off Da Grill" where he could do his brand of humor uncensored.
